A hydration pack is a type of hydration system built as a backpack or waist pack containing a reservoir or “bladder” commonly made of rubber or flexible plastic. Commonly used for outdoor recreational activities, such as hiking, bicycling, and kayaking, they can be used as well as for military maneuvers. Basically, they are life-saving equipments for the athletes who struggle in the nature or in the marathons.
Apart from the products of the pioneer brands like CamelBak or Hydrapak, you can also find various types and designs of these hydration systems. And now, the worldwide known Nike join the race with its new concept: Nike Split 22 Dual Bladder Adaptable Hydration System
With its compact size (22 oz.= 650 ml), functionality and easy-to-access to the hydration and nutrition spaces, -as well as the daily trainings and activities- this new concept can also be preferable for the traditional and new competitions like Ultra Marathon Running and Ultra Mountain Bike Trail Racing that both set to be introduced at the 2012 Summer Olympics.
