Richard Hutten has created a wallpaper collection for the wallpaper brand Designwall. Layers is a continuation from Hutten’s Layers Furniture (Milan Design Week 2008), originally designed for a room in the Llayers Lloyd Hotel in Tokyo.
The Design Museum in London decorated its cafe with the Layers collection. It is a unique and interactive wallpaper collection, since anyone can draw or write on it to leave a personal mark. This turns the wallpaper into an unfinished piece, a canvas for expressing your feelings or needs.
Layers collection is composed of everyday tapes that you would use to seal a cardboard box. Hutten used the existing tape designs and the developed new patterns for this colorful wallpaper series.
