Architecture practice ONG&ONG have designed the ‘M House’ in Bukit Timah, Singapore.
The two storey building is designed to create the ideal balance between the needs for family bonding as well as for personal space.
Spacious common areas with a double-volume void in the living room seamlessly unifying the two levels as a whole.
While the material choices of fare-faced concrete, terrazzo and teak lean towards a Classic Modernist style, simple architectural elements comprise the various volumes of the house and are aligned for effective cross-ventilation in a tropical climate.
Zen-inspired edgeless pool is encircling the home’s concrete façade.
Horizontal louvres on the upper floor create an open, yet private surface, allowing the family to alter the degree of privacy.
