Wooden heap cabinets by Boris Dennler

Swiss designer Boris Dennler has designed ‘Wooden heap’ walnut cabinets, a surprising furniture collection that disguise at first appearance their true function.

Furnitures camoflauge themselves as piles of wood, and this makes the disingenuity of their appearance something that feels charming rather than deceptive.

Some pieces of the collection are recalling 18th and 19th century six-drawer chiffonier’s, the cabinet self-consciously refers to 1960s-70s anti-design while revelling in notions of the hidden and the surprise.
