A ukulele is a member of the guitar family of musical instruments that generally employs four nylon or gut strings or four courses of strings. After taken to Hawaii by Portuguese immigrants, this 19th century small guitar-like instrument gained great popularity in the United States, and then spread internationally. Basically, the tone and volume of the ukulele varies with size and construction in terms of material and manufacturing process. So that they commonly come in four sizes: soprano, concert, tenor, and baritone.
Based in Asheville, North Carolina, United States, an exceptional musical instrument designer and manufacturer Paul Celentano has decided to build a brand new idea about the ukuleles! The idea was simple: “If you can dream it, let’s build it.”
His own words are as follow: “What’s your favorite Food, Animal, Object? The possibilities are endless when it comes to instrument building. Now your instrument can be as personal as the music you play. 100% handcrafted in N.C. What Would Your Dream Instrument Look Like?
