Can you imagine forks, spoons and knives made from fruit and vegetables? Qiyun Deng made it before you imagine.
These biodegradable materials surprise you because a leaf of an artichoke becomes a soup spoon, a stalk of celery transforms into the handle of a fork, a pineapple stem turns into a knife, and a carrot becomes a small spoon.
At first, Deng reproduces the skins of fruit and vegetables by using resin to find a proper application. The textures are copied to 3D printed parts.
These interesting and sweet products can be gifts to the nature in terms of finding solutions to environmental problems.
