“Bloom” by Jun Murokashi

Blown glass makes feel conflicting emotions; warm but tension at the same time. Smooth but hard, calm and fragile…

“Bloom” is a collection of vases and bowls combining embroidery and glass blowing. It is possible to feel the calm atmosphere of blown glass and the tensed fiber at the same time.

The collection is totally handmade, that is why it is so attractive: Glasses were blowed by three young talented glass artists, Shunji Sasaki, Takeyoshi Mitsui and Emi Hirose in Toyama, Japan. The thread’s pattern is made by the designer himself.

The collection “Bloom” was at Milan Design Week- which was the heart of the design.
