Casa do Lado by 20.87

Brazilian firm 20.87 has made design and an installment for the furniture design brand Micasa’s ‘Casa do Lado’ in São Paulo, Brazil.

The installation creates a new face for Micasa’s additional retail space to exhibit contemporary furniture and design.

First, a wooden frame is wrapped on the surface of the building, then translucent corrugated panels were screwed on this it, allowing the lighting mounted around the edges of the facade to diffuse through.

The corrugated panels are hinting the concealed form within it during the day and projecting the outline of the original building at night using the energy efficient LED lights.
