Coastal Residence by Boora Architects

American architecture practice Boora Architects has designed a wooden house situated on the coast of Oregon.

The house has a 180° view of a surrounding landscape. The design of the house creates a space – public or private, that would blur the boundaries of outside and inside. Two structures are connected by a 45m long sheltered walkway. This also created an inner courtyard between the two.

The ground floor of the main building is dedicated to private spaces. Common areas can be found on the upper floor, open towards the nature from three sides. The smaller building has a garage and an office.

Wood is preferred as a main element to use among others.
