Sculpture is one of the best arts in order to reflect the images of people, nature and imaginary things. The things that are deserved to be created have lives thanks to numerous materials from the nature itself. Sand, Stone, rock, candle, soap, wood and lots of materials are used by the sculptor and live thanks to his/her skillful fingers in a brave way.
Japanese artist Baku Maeda chooses the dead Magnolia leaves in order to reflect his emotions and ideas. The dead leaves are transformed into living things; animals! Maeda took the advantage of the warped shape and of dried magnolia leaves and made only minimal, careful-incredibly careful- cuts to create each piece.
These sculptures are the results of a very dedicated and careful work, aren’t they?
