The busts- generally made of enduring materials such as terracotta, marble, bronze, wood- emerges in a different way by the interesting and humorous approach of José Lerma and Hector Madera.

The artists discuss the issue by a perspective in terms of a larger than life, colourful and abstract approach. The unconventional material they use is “paper”. By crinkling and crumpling sheets and using an armature for support the artists conclude their works.

The paper busts by Lerma and Madera are on show at the Saatchi Gallery in London until 3th November ‘13; at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago until 3rd December ’13.
