H house by Budapesti Muhely

Just outside the Budapest, in town of Sóskút along the edge of a forest, Hungarian practice Budapesti Muhely has recently completed the ‘H house’, a barn-residence.

The dwelling is following the footsteps of a traditional gabled roofed, natural material used houses and is reminiscent of the central European peasant architecture.

Defined by the family’s needs, the grid’s size allows two rows of the modules in 12 square meter units with one half for rooms and the other half for circulation and smaller spaces including bathrooms and storage.
