There were numerous valuable designers and design studios at Maison & Objet, which is one of the most remarkable design events in the world and which was held by the participation of a large number of participants. The participants from our country make us feel proud and their participation and introduction created nice instantaneities at the fair.

Hatice Topbaş: First of all, we congratulate you for participating Maison & Object. This is your third participation, could you please tell us how you felt and how the atmosphere was?
Ceren-Fatih Başgöze: Thank you very much. Such activities are very important for us in terms of presenting our position at international arena. The sophisticated fairs like Maison & Objet are very exciting. They give you a chance to meet new people, to exchange opinions, and to see what stage you are at international design arena. The experts get feedback from professionals and those feedbacks help you plan your future projects. This Maison & Objet Paris in September was the same for us; we presented our new collection, got positive feedbacks at the end of the fair. Our aim is to be persistent in this area and create brand identity.
H.T.: You design a wide range of designs from furniture to daily objects. You use different materials, different colours, different forms. What is the source of inspiration for your extraordinary designs?
C-F.B.: Let us tell in a word, “interaction”. According to us, unless a product interact with the user, and if it stands as just an item in a place, it lacks of sufficiant qualifications in terms of design and genuine matters on no account. We try to create a strong connection between the design and user; this connection makes the design timeless and present its spirit in the atmosphere it stands. That is why we use different textures, colours and forms while we are designing our products having a strong connection.
H.T.: Could you please tell us the international exhibition and fairs that you participated in, and the awards that you granted?

It is very clear that the situation of the whole world and our country. Things and rivalry are getting harder. But even in these conditions, if they keep their “individuality”, they will receive a recompense for their work.
