Shinichi Ogawa & Associates have designed a minimal housing project, Library House in Japan.
The living and eating area are situated in the center of the home, span up to six-meters high and can be clearly seen as an extrusion from the foundation.
The entrance is placed directly in front of the living room, thus eliminating any superfluous corridors.
The house places a significant emphasis on natural lighting, thus the skylight that spans throughout the house, as well as large windows that open up to a courtyard.
The owner is a book lover, so an expansive bookcase is designed.
