Tokyo-based practice Torafu Architects have designed the new ‘My Panda retail store’ located in the basement of Shibuya’s PARCO part 1 in Tokyo, Japan.
Dual color is rendered through the archetypal image of a house, inside and outside. Part of the exterior is designed as a bench to sit and relax, while the interior structures provide displays and welcoming counter.
Along the wall, a curved rail reminiscent of a garden line provides a perch for individual articles of clothing. Curved rail design also facilitates browsing.
A panda painted on the wall, opposite the entrance, greets visitors.
