New Toys of the Adolescence: Toyota Camatte

What was the core element of your childhood dream? A new toy? A new house? A pool? A video console? Or a car? Brand new… Totally yours. No adult to intervene or no fake parts to convince you as it is real.

Now, we are in 2012 and -if the production plans will change- this dream of us can be real by the help of Toyota!

Meet the Toyota Camatte!

Toyota Camatte aims to convey the joy and dreams of motor vehicles to current and future drivers, by providing an opportunity for parents and children to experience together the fun of driving, car customization and car enthusiasm. It has some major features like customization (toy-like ease and range), compact and intimate interior and safe driving availability like even children can drive it! The pedals and seats can be positioned and adjusted to enable operation by a child while an adult, seated in the rear-right seat, assists steering and braking and helps the child develop driving skills. Till now, it has 2 types…

The Camatte Sora looks like a classic mini car, and the Camatte Daichi is more of a Land Cruiser-inspired off-roader. Toyota says the Camatte was designed”firmly as a concept” with no plans for production, so it remains a child’s fantasy and parents’ nightmare.

So, let’s take a look to the Tokyo Toy Show 2012 video!
