The Olympic Shooting Venue is designed and buid by Magma Architecture for the London Olympic Games 2012. Located in Woolwich district of London, England, the place will be hosting this summer’s marksmen events for the 10, 25, and 50 meter ranges.
All of the temporary constructions are designed to easily dismantle, reassemble when needed and are are fully mobile.
The building complex is comprised of two partially-closed structure and one fully-enclosed center.
The colorful circles on the surface are not only visual actors of the design but also an entry and exit points for natural ventilation to maintain interior comfort temperatures and create entryways on the ground floor.
The project is almost fully self sufficient with its semi-translucent nature of the tents, which reduces the need for interior lighting.
