As Architecture of Life, we have chosen the best and remarkable chair designs at Milan Design Week 2014. Here are the designs:
The chairs designed by Erwan Bouroullec for Italian brand Mattiazzi are made from a range of metal and curved wood.
The collection is very attractive with the variations of backrests – one squarish and one more rectangular – supporting the sitter ; natural wood or stained black finish options and with three or four legged versions.

East River Chair
East River Chair designed by Hella Jongerius for the design giant Vitra seems light and comfortable. The colours and materials of chairs which have a handle and optional wheels for easy relocation are chosen carefully. Leather protects the armrests from dirt and wear, and the thicker padding of the seat cushion and backrest provide lumbar support.
Alexander Gufler’s design wooden table and chairs for Czech brand Ton are aesthetic and elegant.
Merano armchair and barstool are combined with Stelvio table in order to create a nice collection.
Alessandro Busana’s designs chairs which was shown at Salone del Mobile by Italian brand Gaber seem really sweet. The designer was inspired by the baskets behind the bicycles to design the chair as soon as he saw a baby in a basket and transformed this image into comfortable furniture.
After the celebration of 50 years as manufacturer, Pedrali exhibits for the 26th time at the Salone Internazionale del Mobile and continues its mission to offer contemporary and functional furniture for public spaces, offices and homes.
The 2014 novelties consist of five new families and brand new models that enrich the Pedrali collection. They give prominence to the wood and the upholstered products, besides the plastic materials, using the technological innovation as a key aspect of every project.
A family of wooden chairs, a group of upholstered armchairs, newest barstools and two sets of complements. Moreover, the first model dedicated to the world of kids, as a natural evolution of one of the best seller Pedrali plastic chairs.
