Tenda by Benjamin Hubert

English designer Benjamin Hubert has launched a lighting collection made of underwear fabric to exhibit in London Design Festival 2012.

Tenda name derives from Italian word for ‘tent’. The product compounds from fibreglass rods from the kite-making industry, four-way stretchy mesh from the underwear industry, Lycra from the sportswear industry, and a construction technique from tent-making.

The textile cover and brass connectors hold the rods in tension and the light is diffused by the inner layers of Lycra.
