The House Hotel Bosphorus

The House Hotel Group, corporate of Ev Emlak and Kerten Private Equity, has opened its new hotel, The House Hotel Bosphorus, in Ortaköy after two hotels in Nişantaşı and Galatasaray. The hotel is located on the historical Simon Kalfa Building built at the end of 1800s in Bosphorus which is considered to be among the world’s most beautiful landscapes. The Hotel’s most striking feature is that the historical building was built by the Balyan Family who gained reputation as the architects of many palaces in Ottoman period and of Dolmabahçe Palace. Modified in line with this striking and important feature, the design approach of the hotel belongs the Autoban Design team. Based on the feeling of palace in a historical building, the concept was to create a comfortable, modern, luxurious world reflecting classic traces of its era.

Custom-made designs of materials such as marble, brass, oak and walnut by Autoban adorn the hotel, making it a charming place. The design office held once again to their successful decoration formula which combines the old and new and created a place with contrasts by applying circular forms in linear plan schemes. Among other attractive design details are 3-dimensional cube textures seen on floor marquetry and carpets in hallway and guest rooms, decorative textures raising the walls and oval forms used on lighting elements.

Guests are elegantly welcomed at the entrance with a custom-designed wrought iron gate. Then they go in the reception and waiting room behind the entrance. Restaurant-bar, fitness and massage center, lounge area and conference room are gathered on the first floor with guest bedrooms. 23 suites in 4 floors and attic floor have special names besides the room numbers, inspired by the historical buildings surrounding the area. Doors and window frames are restored in accordance with the original forms. Black-grained Carrara White marble is used on bathroom walls. Wooden shutters, which separate the bathroom from the room when used as closed, provides depth giving a transparent view in the place thanks to the glass walls. Furniture and lighting elements mainly come from the archive of Autoban and are adapted to the design understanding of the hotel.

Every floor 5 rooms and there are 3 suite rooms with terraces on the attic floor which are wider than other rooms. With the Jacuzzis in suites, these rooms are ideal for those who look for a more comfortable and elite experience.

Shadow effects created by natural and artificial lights are among the powerful details that enrich the ambiance and dynamism of the hotel. Custom-made chandaliers, fireplace and built-in bookcases with hidden lighting make the restaurant and lounge area a sincere and warm place and create the natural place which provides the comfort after the chaos of Istanbul.

Regarding the location of the building and the quality service, it is considered to be among the”A Plus” accommodation centers in Istanbul.
