German Designer Ruben Beckers designed the lightest table in the world weighing 4,5 kilograms. “kleinergleich5” meaning “less than five” in German is very …. thanks to the grid of extremely thin strips to create a rigid structure beneath the slender table top.
The legs are removable solid-wood ones so they are able to be bent into the holes in the grid to connect them with the table top.
The table weighs half as much as benjamin hubert’s ‘ripple table’ unveiled during the London Design Festival in September 2013.
