Established in 2005, Marmol Radziner Prefab is an extension of the award-winning Los Angeles-based architecture and construction firm Marmol Radziner + Associates.
The Palms house, designed by Marmol Radziner + Associates is a beautiful prefabric house located on a narrow, urban lot in Venice, CA. It is comprised of 14 modules. Marmol Radziner Prefab built the house in three months and setted in two and a half days. After, six weeks of on-site finishing work the house was completed. Unlike, most companies that produces prefabric houses, they also make many of the built-ins for the houses.
The home includes a variety of green features including, a recycled steel frame, Structural Insulated Panels (SIPS), Triple-Pane insulating glass, eco-friendly materials, Energy Star-rated appliances, and natural cooling features.
The architects used several tecniques to provide natural light, ventilation, and privacy for the family in such a close environment. series of screning tecniques, landscaping, louvered panels and a small courtyard space provide the privacy of the house.
Keep it simple, be scheduled and be sustainable. Yes, it would be better for us to re-think the way we built our houses…
